TOMORROW!

Yes, that blog post title is in all caps.... Know why? Because we are EXCITED!

Excited about all the lists we're going to complete this month! Excited to show you some other fun stuff we have planned in March! Excited that SO MANY OF YOU are taking part in our fun little challenge!

And it's already started .....

(If you are new to 30 Days of Lists and want a quick overview, check out the about page info here)

The flickr group for 30 Days of Lists is hopping!

Head on over there to leave an introduction, see what other participants have up their sleeves for their book-of-lists and get inspirations for your own!

Also:

The 30 Days of Lists downloadable pdfs will remain available throughout the month.

Remember, you can get ALL the list prompts ahead of time with the downloadable pdfs. Perfect for if you know you'll be too busy one day to come see the the prompt but still want to make your list for the day.

Quite a few of you have already downloaded yours - and I can't wait to see which theme you use for your lists!

Also:

As mentioned, we're going to TRY to reblog your lists here on the *afternoon* of the prompt. Which means make sure you add your list to the flickr group as soon as you can!

Already submitted are some adorable - and varied - versions of books and covers for the list collection. You guys are amazing and so creative!

Below are some of the books that were in the flickr group by Sunday morning .... In no particular order ....

(*note* - If you don't have sharing settings set up on your flickr account we won't be able to reblog your lists. Double check your settings if you want your work shared here on the blog)

Justine's Book of Lists!

Good morning everyone! I hope you are having a fantastic day so far! It is now my turn to show you my book for my lists. I love that Kam, Amy and I went such different routes, it shows how different these can all be!
I am a sucker for moleskins. Give me any moleskin and my heart starts pounding I want to write in it so bad ahahha. So, I knew I wanted to use a moleskin for this project.
I was going for more of a minimalist type theme.

When I decorated it, I just used some paper, and a pen. Thats all.

I also used some tabs to spice things up a bit, and because I am a  SUCKER for post its.

Can't wait to see your own books-of-lists in the 30 Days of Lists Flickr Group!

Amy's book of lists

Hey hey!

I'm Amy - from Lemon and Raspberry. I have a genetic disposition toward list-making, so when Kam suggested this project to me I think I must have said 'yes' before I was done reading the email :)

I made my book-of-lists using a 7"x9" recycled binder from ReBinder. It's the perfect size for 1/2 sheets of regular ol' 8.5"x11" paper.

For my list pages, I'm using the 1/2 page Minimal Theme - available in the 30 Days of Lists downloadable pdf package. (that Futura font is my current favorite).... I've got 1 list prompt for each half page, with room to paste a photo on the back of the page opposite.

You'll see ...

The cover is painted a bright blue, which I complemented with this lime green to matte the title:

I finished it off with a lime green ribbon to wrap around the whole thing. A nice, pretty, streamlined finish .... along with keeping it closed while on the shelf....

I think I will also add a divider to mark off these lists as done in 2011. There's also plenty of room to add another year or 2 of 30 days of lists....

So fun!

As Kam mentioned, there is no right or wrong way to do this - this just happens to be my style! Clean, simple, straight lines and uniform ..... I like having the pages/book be as simple as possible to not distract from the content ....

More photos will be uploaded to the 30 Days of Lists Flickr Group. Head on over there to get some inspiration for your own list collection. Be sure to join the group to upload your own work throughout the month!

Kam's Mini-Album

Hi! I'm Kam of Campfire Chic, and I'm glad you're joining Amy, Justine, and me on this challenge. You can learn more about me, why I'm excited about this project, and see some didn't-make-it-to-posts photos/ramblings that I'll be posting through out the month by clicking on "Kam" above the header.

Throughout the month, Amy, Justine, and I are going to be posting images of the lists we make for each prompt. You'll notice that we have very different styles--which is perfect, because there is no 'right' way to do this! We hope you'll share your lists with us as well.

One of the biggest differences between the three of us? What we are writing in over the next month.

I constructed my mini-album (2.5x6, 2-ring BasicGrey Milk Chocolate Album/Swatch-comes with two covers with metal grommets and 6 interior chip-paper pages-I didn't use the extra pages, I'm saving them for future mini-albums) out of scrap paper, notebook paper, envelopes, memos, and whatever else was within arms reach at the time.

I decided to use binder rings that will easily open and close so I can add papers/recipes/photos/tidbits throughout the month that may go along with that day's prompt. Like I said, there is no 'right' way to do this!

I'll be posting an image of the cover of my notebook in the 30 Days of Lists flickr group. Once you get yours set up (if you chose to bind your lists), I hope you snap a photo and upload it as well! If you blog about your lists, I'd love to get a link from you to check it out :)

Do have a notebook/notepad/mini-album ready to roll for this project?

FAQs

Thanks for all your enthusiasm for this new project! We're super excited to get started and share the prompts with you all....

Thanks to some comments on the interwebs, we want to give y'all more details and answer some FAQs:

Is there a fee for this class?
Currently we are NOT charging a fee for the prompts.
Every morning on this (free) blog you'll find the list prompt for the day.
Record your list however you like, however fits your budget, however fits your aesthetic style.

Where are the kits to download?
Kam has added some kits to her etsy site - as well as a giveaway for one on her blog.
They're *super* cute and she only has a limited number, though, so if you like one I suggest snagging it soon!
I will be releasing some small printable files early next week! This will include the full list of prompts for different sized books and easy to put together .... Keep an eye out for those....
Remember, there is no *requirement* to purchase either of these products to participate in 30 Days of Lists - we're just trying to make it easier for you to do so! :)

How long will the prompts be up?
We will leave this site with the prompts up for about a year. You are welcome to use and reuse these prompts as many months as you like!

How can I get involved?
There are SO many ways you can get involved!!

Grab a button --> from the right sidebar and spread the news on your own site. We really appreciate any additional friends you bring to the project. Seeing a wide variety of interpretations of the prompts I think will be my favorite part.

Tell your friends. On your blog or on Twitter or on Facebook. Since this journaling challenge is free we want to encourage anyone who has an extra 10 minutes in their day to participate. The Twitter hashtag is #30Lists .... Feel free to use that tag with any tweets about the project

Join the Flickr group here - feel free to start posting images of your book or list-making method now. And then every post, you're welcome to upload your lists to the Flickr group. Depending on response, we're going to try to post some favorites from the Flickr group every afternoon (of that morning's prompt), so upload away!

Become a Sponsor.
We are still looking for 2-3 sponsors to do a blog button swap for the rest of February and month of March. Being a sponsor also allows you your choice of list prompt to be a guest poster on. We've had some REALLY enthusiastic support from our current sponsors - I think you'll be pleased.

If you are interested in being a sponsor, please email us with your readership details and any questions.

If you have any other questions not addressed here, feel free to leave a comment or to contact any one of us by email:

ANNOUNCING! 30 Days of Lists

Kam, Justine and Amy are so excited to announce today a brand new 30-day challenge to you!

30 Days of Lists starts March 1 at 30 Days of Lists. Each day on that challenge-specific blog you’ll find a prompt for that day’s list topic.

Just a list. Nothing more.

Not everyone can make a mini scrapbook every week or an art journal page every night. Give yourself a break from the pressure of art journaling or 800-word-meaningful blog posts.

While those kinds of challenges are admirable and ambitious, we had something a little more ... manageable in mind.

30 Days of Lists is our encouragement and challenge to you that you CAN journal just something every day - even something as small as a list.

Every day throughout the month of March we will be posting a list prompt - anything from weekend goals to celebrity crushes. At the end of the 30 days you'll have a collection of entries creating a small snapshot of your life right now.

Only 5-10 minutes per day are really needed. While you're waiting for someone, or when you're the passenger in the car. Download one of our kits so you have the topics ahead of time and just write.

That's all.

Just write.

There's no wrong way to do this and if you don't like a prompt on a certain day, just change it. Tweak it. Make it your own.

Watch this site all this month for ideas and giveaways leading up to the first list prompt on March 1!

Thanks also to our sponsors for helping spread the word! Make sure to click on through to their sites to see how they are interpreting the list prompts!

Note: This challenge is FREE.

30 Days of Lists is a collaboration between Kam of Campfire Chic, Amy of Lemon and Raspberry and Justine of A New Beginning.
